Located in the Marshwood Vale, Broakoak marks the northern point of Symondsbury parish.

Eype consists of a group of small village communities located at Higher Eype, Lower Eype and Eypesmouth. Eypesmouth is at the southern end of Symondsbury parish on the Jurassic Coast.

West Cliff is a small coastal community located on the western edge of West Bay and represents the south eastern boundary of Symondsbury parish.

A small village just to the west of Bridport, its main purposes through the ages being the production of flax and hemp for Bridport's rope and net manufacturing trade, also the production of fine apples from its orchards. Symondsbury represents the centre of the parish.
